ABOUT OUR PARISH
Fr. Maximos was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. He spent 30 years in Monastic life, sharing his time between the Monastery where he received the Monastic vows and Mt. Athos. He was ordained a Deacon in 1987 and Priest in 1991. His ministry included the preaching of Christ’s word in various villages of Northern Greece, serving for the Metropolises of Kilkis and Lagada.

Fr. Maximos, after finishing his encyclical studies, he received the degree in Technical Engineering, in the Technological Institute of Thessaloniki followed by the diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Aristotle University. Upon his ordination he studied Theology at the Aristotle University. A few years later he received the Master of Science from the Engineering School of the Aristotle University on Laser applications and High Technology on works of Art. He has also studied English and Byzantine music.
At the invitation of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, he offered his services voluntarily at various communities in New York. In 2015 he was assigned the first full time priest for the community of St. Peter the Apostle, Bronx, New York. During his ministry in Greece and New York, he had the opportunity to make pastoral visits to hospitals and meet with the patients and the families of the patients. In October of 2020 at the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan of Atlanta Alexios and the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop of America Elpidophoros, he was assigned to the Community of Holy Trinity at St. Augustine, Florida.
Fr. Maximos is grateful for the blessing of abiding in the Vineyard of our Heavenly Father and to be grafted onto the fruitful Vine of the Holy Trinity Church Family.
