Why Taverna style? Because breaking bread with family and friends is one of the cornerstones of Greek culture.

In ancient Greece, food was considered a sacred offering to the gods, and the preparation and consumption of food was believed to strengthen the connection between mortals and the divine. Today, eating is a social event for Greeks, and meals are a way to share food, socialize and enjoy each other’s company. Furthermore, food is a physical expression of love and hospitality and Greek take great pride in their cooking and the ritual of meals.

The Greek historian Plutarch famously said, “We do not sit at the table to eat… but to eat together.”

We look forward to breaking bread with you on October 11th and 12th. Kali Orexi!
